Updated: Dec 9, 2018

It's been a great week. We lost 4 great songs, but got 4 great songs too. And our #1 is spectacular. Kid Kelly replaced Spyder Harrison this week, only saying Spyder would elaborate on why he was gone next week. (I don't know why) Just saying, but nobody does the countdown as well as Spyder. For the first debut of the week we have Lauv and Julia Michaels with There’s No Way. I’m actually surprised Lauv can sing this well and he really shows it off here. The only thing that ruins this one for me is Julia Michaels, because she’s just a terrible singer. But, oh well.

Next up, we have Little Mix and Nicki Minaj’s Woman Like Me. The girls sound great here. It’s super catchy and really enjoyable. Given the choice between them and Fifth Harmony, I choose them. Hands down.

Thirdly, (is that even a word?) we have David Guetta/Anne-Marie - Don’t Leave Me Alone. This one’s catchy and one of David Guetta’s best. I have to say, I’m really enjoying Anne-Marie at the moment too, so this one’s just feels really good to me.

And with the highest debut of the week, at #27, we have Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next. I have mixed feelings about this one, because we’ve heard so much of Ariana lately, but for the most part it’s growing on me, so we’ll see how it does.

Best debut of the week: Little Mix/Nicki Minaj - Woman Like Me

Biggest DROP!!!: Calvin Harris/Sam Smith - Promises (Down 19): Personally, this one’s growing on me, and I’m sad to see it go, but I think it’s time was about due.

Biggest Jump: Dan + Shay - Tequila (Up 14): This one’s fading on me. I normally don’t like country music, and this one I think has stayed a bit too long now, so I kinda want it out.

My Top 5 Picks

#5: Ariana Grande - Breathin’

#4: Marshmello/Bastille - Happier

#3: The Chainsmokers/Kelsea Ballerini - This Feeling

#2: Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes

#1:The Struts/Kesha - Body Talks

My Bottom 5 Picks

#5: Selena Gomez - Back To You

#4: Backstreet Boys - Don’t Go Breaking My Heart

#3: Maroon 5/Cardi B - Girls Like You

#2: Zedd/Maren Morris/Grey - The Middle

#1: NOTD/Bea Miller - I Wanna Know

Ranking of da top 15

#15: Lovelytheband - Broken

#14: 5 Seconds Of Summer

#13: The Chainsmokers/Emily Warren

#12: Dan + Shay - Tequila

#11: Halsey - Without Me

#10: Bebe Rexha - I’m A Mess

#9: Fall Out Boy - The Last Of The Real Ones

#8: Khalid/Normani - Love Lies

#7: Imagine Dragons - Natural

#6: Anne-Marie - 2002

#5: Ariana Grande - Breathin’

#4: Marshmello/Bastille - Happier

#3: The Chainsmokers/Kelsea Ballerini - This Feeling

#2: Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes

#1: The Struts/Kesha - Body Talks

Blurbs

4 songs left again. Lie, Kamikaze, Lucid Dreams and Thunderclouds. Lie was great, and I wished it stayed longer, Kamikaze was also pretty good, I was starting to grow into Lucid Dreams and Thunderclouds was spectacular. So I will miss them all.

Lost In Japan took quite a tumble, which sucks because it was great.

Looks like The Middle is close to leaving after, like 9 months.

My Blood is slowly rising, which looks good, considering it’s a good song.

2002 jumped to #3, which is awesome ‘cause this song is great and it would be spectacular if it hit #1.

And finally, High Hopes has hit 8 weeks at #1, putting it so close to The Middle’s 9 weeks. I really really want this one to hit #1 of 2018, so I’m voting for it until it makes it. I have high hopes for this one. (I’m sorry)

Hit-Bound

Ellie Goulding/Diplo - Close To Me

Dean Lewis - Be Alright (DEBUT)

Zara Larsson - Ruin My Life

Imagine Dragons - Machine

Lauren Jauregui - Expectations

Dan + Shay - Speechless (DEBUT)

5 Seconds Of Summer - Killer Queen

Olly Murs - Moves

Alessia Cara - Trust My Lonely (DEBUT)

Khalid - Better (DEBUT)

James Arthur - Empty Space

Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho

Steve Aoki/BTS - Waste It On Me

Twenty One Pilots - Chlorine

For the first new song on Hit-Bound we have Dean Lewis with Be Alright. This one’s really good. I haven’t heard much of it, but I think it’s going to make it.

Next, country duo Dan + Shay’s Speechless. I really want this one to replace Tequila just for a fresh song by these guys.

Third, we have Alessia Cara’s second single from The Pains Of Growing. And it’s Trust My Lonely. This one feels a little underwhelming. But I still find it better than Growing Pains, which was super underwhelming.

Speaking of Better, we have our last new song by Khalid. You guessed it. It’s Better. Personally, I think this is one of Khalid’s weaker singles unfortunately. There’s just not much to it. Oh well.

My Top 5 Hit-Bound Picks

#5: 5 Seconds Of Summer - Killer Queen

#4: Steve Aoki/BTS - Waste It On Me

#3: Ellie Goulding/Diplo - Close To Me

#2: Olly Murs - Moves

#1: Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho
